GROUP PSYCHOTHERAPY

Group Psychotherapy

Group sessions are designed to help individuals work through their problems in a confidential setting, while allowing for each group member to receive feedback in a safe and supportive environment.

Our therapists lead the sessions by drawing from a variety of therapeutic approaches, including cognitive-behavioral, psychoanalytic and humanistic. Members are encouraged to participate in educational lectures/workshops, skill training groups, expressive therapies such as art, drama, poetry and dance.

Research has shown the effectiveness of group therapy to treat a variety of conditions and its benefits include but are not limited to: less isolation and loneliness, improves self-awareness and motivation to change, improves interpersonal and communication skills, builds trust and self-esteem and creates an ideal setting to practice new skills and behaviors.
